The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Regional Poison Control Center provides emergency advice and prevention information for poisoning exposures. The service is available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The staff is composed of professionally trained nurses, pharmacists, and physicians with expertise in toxicology. All services are free and confidential. Single or bulk poison prevention materials are available free of charge to residents and organizations in Hillsdale County.

The Hillsdale County Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM) is a group of local professionals that have volunteered their time and expertise to serve the community. They provide helpful responses to anyone that has experienced or witnessed an incident which involves loss of life or threat of life, produces stress in those who witness and survive it, triggers strong emotions, and/or disrupts one’s ability to function normally.
