Make A Difference Day 2005

Hillsdale County United Way & Volunteers In Action coordinated local efforts for Make A Difference Day, which is a national day of volunteering your time and talent in service to the coummunity! It combines the efforts of private businesses, service organizations, churches, students, agencies, families, and individuals.

Projects that took place in Hillsdale County include:

• Collecting winter coats, hats, and gloves through Oct. 20th at WCSR
• Distributing winter coats, hats, and gloves at Hillsdale Assembly of God
• Collecting and cleaning new & used clean toys at Hillsdale Assembly of God
• Collecting and distributing food at Storehouse Food Pantry
• Collecting and distributing toiletries at Hillsdale Assembly of God
• Collecting toys, treats, and food for animals at the Humane Society
• Spending time with animals at the Humane Society
• Visiting with the elderly and handicapped throughout Hillsdale County
• collecting Christmas style or winter material to make Christmas Stockings through Oct. 20th at Hillsdale County United Way
• Sewing Christmas stockings for kids to be distributed in December
• Neighbors helping neighbors with fall clean up
